MedRoc are proud to announce that it has successfully passed the scrutiny and auditing of the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

 CQC is the new health watchdog regulating all health and social care services in England.

 It is illegal to provide an ambulance service in the UK without this registration. All organisations that provide care to patients are, or will have to be regulated by the CQC. Currently all NHS / Voluntary / Private companies that run an Ambulance Service, Hospital, Care home, Dentist surgery must be regulated by law.

 The CQC are here to ensure essential standards of quality and safety are being met where care is provided, from hospitals to ambulance services. It has a wide range of enforcement powers to take action on behalf of people who use these services if services are unacceptably poor.

The CQC’s aim is to make sure better care is provided for everyone, whether that’s in hospital, in an ambulance, in care homes, in people’s own homes or elsewhere.

CQC’s assessment of MedRoc concentrated on the following areas:

• Standards of treating people with respect and involving them in their care
• Standards of providing care, treatment and support that meets people’s needs
• Standards of caring for people safely and protecting them from harm
• Standards of staffing
• Standards of management

MedRoc is proud to announce that our contract with South Central Ambulance Service NHS Trust to respond to 999 emergency calls in the Hampshire area has been renewed for another year.

We have been commissioned by South Central Ambulance Service NHS trust for many years now assisting them with emergency Ambulances and response cars throughout the year crewed with our highly trained Emergency Medics.

MedRoc has an ambulance station with offices based in the Hampshire area to assist with this contract allowing for a professional fluid operation 365 days of the year.

MedRoc is the only private medical provider to independently offer this level of on-site medical provision at events, alongside being contracted by the NHS Trust to provide 999 emergency ambulance services to the public 7 days a week. This NHS 999 service provision reassures their event clients of the standard and level of care that they provide. Knowing that the NHS recognises MedRoc are clinically sound, event organisers are satisfied and happy to contract them to cover their events. Consequently, MedRoc’s expertise in this field has been previously showcased on the BBC’s Real Rescues series.
